Why this fitting
Until now, there was no proper fitting for this connection. Every tank owner made do with a rough hole and hoped for the best.
A ragged, oversized opening weakens and degrades the tank wall at exactly the point that works hardest. The Clean-Fit flange spreads the load and finishes the opening properly.
Leaves, dust, insects, mosquitoes — even small lizards — find their way in around a rough connection. The Clean-Fit seals the opening completely: only what comes down the pipe enters your tank.

A variant for every downpipe
Every inlet includes 10 stainless-steel screws and a cutting template. Each variant has its own hinged lid: the code ends in -L.

When no downpipe is fitted, the hinged lid closes the inlet completely, so leaves, insects and mosquitoes stay out. Lift the tab to open it and press it down to click it shut. It stays on its hinge, so it can't blow away or get lost.

Leaf guards that click into the outlet
Leaves that wash into a downpipe are hard to get out again. GG-MA fits both Marley gutters, the square Streamline and the half-round Vynadeep. GG-DA fits aluminium gutters with the rectangular downpipe. Each guard clicks into the outlet, the water runs in right at the outlet floor, and the leaves stay out of the pipe and out of your tank.

Fitted in five simple steps
Everything you need is in the box. All you add is a jigsaw or utility knife, a drill and about twenty minutes.
Hold the included cutting template against the tank where the downpipe meets it, and mark the opening.
Cut along your marked line. The template guarantees the right size and shape — no guesswork.
Place the Clean-Fit Inlet into the opening so the flange sits flat and snug against the tank.
Secure the flange with the 10 stainless-steel screws provided — evenly, for a complete seal around the opening.
Slide the downpipe into the inlet. Done — a clean, sealed, professional connection.

Frequently asked questions
How do I connect a gutter downpipe to a water tank?
Cut a neat opening in the top of the tank using the cutting template supplied with every Pro Clean-Fit Inlet, place the fitting over the opening and fasten it with the supplied stainless-steel screws. The downpipe then seats into the fitting for a clean, sealed connection. Installation takes about 10 minutes with basic hand tools.
Will the Pro Clean-Fit Inlet fit my JoJo or other brand of water tank?
Yes. It is designed for the common polyethylene rainwater tanks sold in South Africa — including JoJo, Eco Tanks, Roto and similar brands — and fits any tank with enough flat or gently curved area on top for the mounting flange.
Which downpipe sizes and profiles are available?
The range covers every common South African downpipe: 80 mm round PVC, 110 mm round PVC, square PVC, domestic aluminium and industrial aluminium gutter profiles. A 160 mm industrial size is on the way.
Does it keep leaves, insects, mosquitoes and lizards out of my tank?
That is exactly what it is for. A rough-cut hole leaves open gaps around the downpipe; the Pro Clean-Fit Inlet closes the opening so leaves, dust, mosquitoes and small animals cannot enter around the pipe. A matching hinged lid (the code ends in -L) closes the port completely when no downpipe is fitted. Lift the tab to open it.
Can I fit it to a tank that is already installed?
Yes — it is designed for new installations and retrofits alike. The tank stays exactly where it is; you simply neaten the existing hole using the template and screw the fitting down. About 10 minutes.
What is the fitting made of? Will it survive the South African sun?
It is manufactured from UV-stabilised ASA — the same family of material used for exterior vehicle trim — specifically chosen for long-term outdoor use in African sun.
My downpipe comes in at an angle. Will it still work?
Yes. The inlets accommodate pipes entering at an angle, including flexible corrugated hose connections, so awkward gutter-to-tank runs are no problem.
